What everyone needs to know about covert 19 in Puerto Vallarta Mexico
What are the requirements in place for International travelers visiting Puerto Vallarta?
As of now, there are no quarantine requirements in place for travelers arriving in Puerto Vallarta.
For the travelers that are taking International flights to the United States. They will be required to show written proof of recovery of covid 19 or a new test done here of covert 19 that has been done 72 hours before your departure. This test is for everyone. If you’re gonna be traveling by plane to Canada the test must be conducted 92 hours before the departure Period. 
New Important info. The airport now has Covid 19 test at the airport. 45 min to complete the test. This is for people that are staying at an AIRBNB and don’t have on site hotel testing facilities. These tests are 22 dollars.
Where can you get the PCR or antigen test in Puerto Vallarta Mexico?
The best place is on Francisco villa over by Costco 250 pesos for the antigen test and 950 pesos for the PRC test. Prices are in pesos. You will get the results in a couple of days via email. The Vidanta hotel has started doing tests on the grounds of the hotel. I’m sure in the coming days all the hotels will follow suit. You will need to have this test done before returning to the U.S.
The latest news is that almost all of the major Hotels has the covid 19 at your hotel. This is a fantastic update. No shipping around just gets the test site.
As of now are there any special restrictions in Puerto Vallarta for tourism?
Yes, hotels are still operating at 50% capacity taking temperatures in using lots of lots of hand gel. Golf courses, beaches, and other areas for the tourists can operate during the day but are closed in the evening.
Any special mask/face coverings that need to be used in Puerto Vallarta when arriving
Yes, Puerto Vallarta is encouraging everyone to use their face mask and practice social distancing.
Is the Malecon still open and other attractions?
Yes, the boardwalk is still open and the restaurants as well which are operating at 50% capacity, and the restaurants closed at 10:00 p.m..
What is the process when you arrive at Puerto Vallarta airport
You need to have your mask on, you’ll have disinfected applied to shoes and hands while in the terminal. You have to practice social distancing which will slow down the process a little bit but still not bad. of course, you’ll have to go through customs and immigration counters as always. There will be anti-bacteria dispensers throughout the airport, the people at the airport, and The workers at the airport will be using gloves handling your bags, Everyone using the restaurants in the food court must wear a face mask. 
What happens when you arrive at the hotel
The check-in process will be done according to the covert 19 protocol which is the same thing that everyone did at the airport. There will be hand gel throughout the hotel and in the common areas. They’re encouraging everyone to use their credit cards not cash which is much better than cash nowadays. And of course, the hotels are practicing the capacity of 50%.
Overall Puerto Vallarta is taking covid 19 very seriously as we want everyone to have a good time here and return home safely.
