Puerto Vallarta fishing charter report for August 2018. The latest fishing report we have been getting some huge Marlin offshore around the Corbetena and just north of this area. These offshore trips of 10 hours give us time to check many good fishing G.P.S. points along the way out and on the way back.
Quadruple hook up
When we are fishing for 8 hours up to 10-hours there are many different options to find pelagic fish for our clients on these incredible fishing trips. There are times when we check an area in the morning and the tides are not right does not mean the fishing there was bad, but the fish just did not want to bite on that particular tides. The dorado fishing inside the bay has been great. This is good for folks that don’t want to spend a full day fishing. If you want to take one of our boats out but just want a short trip for family or friends this is the trip for you. These fishing trips are a fun day for 4 to 6 hrs. The offshore fishing is extremely hot with blue marlin and black marlin with some of the bigger Dorado and sailfish. The inshore fishing 4 to 6 hours we’re catching some dorados, yellowtail, and Snappers up around north shore. I’ve seen a lot of fish showing up on the Southside in fantastic numbers. The best Method for catching these huge roosterfish is a troll of about 2 knots to 3 knots depending on the seas with some live goggle-eye or casting where the fish are schooling down by the south side of the bay as well. Los Arcos is just one of the many places we did well a couple of days ago. These short fishing trips Can be done here in Puerto Vallarta fishing in 6 hours easily.
Family Fun
The Spanish mackerel are hitting well and also along the South side of the bay. There are some Wahoo showing up which is normally like the cooler water. For us Captains here in Puerto Vallarta Mexico that is great News for all of us that will be out here fishing inside the bay and offshore. Nice Wahoo caught along with the big marlin we had one boat out just a couple of days ago reported several Marlin in one day. Wow, what an incredible day for the group and a great day for the Puerto Vallarta fishing.
