Puerto Vallarta fishing report July. The fishing report starts off with some exciting news just before July 4th. There’ll be many big celebrations here in Puerto Vallarta along with big fish to go with it. We’ll start with the hot inshore action. Fishing has produced many yellowtail, skipjack tuna, roosterfish, snapper, and mahi-mahi all over. Where have we caught all these fish? Some of the hot spots have been Nuevo Vallarta, Palo Verde, Bucerias, Los Arcos, and the middle of the bay. Most of these inshore fishing trips have been of the 6 hrs duration. Some of the shorter bay fishing

Puerto Vallarta fishing report June 2023
Welcome to the June fishing report for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is the most relevant fishing report I wrote all year long. If you want to know why and how, please read on. The first big change is the weather. June 15th. is when the rainy season starts and lasts until October 15 th. Some folks think the rains are bad. It’s just the opposite. The rains that occur late in the evenings almost every day have a profound effect on fishing. Often, rains bring pelagic fish and bait into our bay. I also tell clients that if you find

Puerto Vallarta fishing report February 2023
When February rolls around here in Puerto Vallarta I always like to look back and see what we’ve done over these last few winter months. December was full of rod-bending action with fantastic weather and we had pretty much the same in January. The pelagic fish definitely have hung around this winter. We had temperatures get down to about 63 degrees early in the morning and then get up to a perfect 76 in the afternoon. I still laugh sometimes driving to work and see all my friends and neighbor’s in jackets with 63 degrees weather. We’ve been seeing these

Puerto Vallarta Fishing Report November 2022
November is the month that we’ve all been waiting for here in Puerto Vallarta fishing. For starters, we’re going to experience a lot of the same game fish that we had last month. Marlin, sailfish, tuna, and Mahi Mahi. We also have a couple of fishing tournaments coming up in the November 5th Los Muertos tournament. This is one of the biggest tournaments of the year, usually, around 200 boats enter this tournament and target mostly mahi -mahi and sailfish. This is a great tournament for the locals and international fishermen alike. There are some great prizes this year 350,000

Puerto Vallarta fishing report September 2022
This September our fishing report starts off with more of what we had last month. The big marlin, sailfish, and mahi-mahi have started to move into our fishing grounds. The weather has been perfect with the passing of a few storms offshore. Not many people know September as one of the best months to fish in Puerto Vallarta. First, there are fewer people here with school back in full swing in the United States and Mexico. Second, we have more bait that comes into our bay and offshore fishing area. If you read my fishing report you will always hear

Puerto Vallarta fishing report January 2022
Happy new year and sea and greeting from Puerto Vallarta where the fish are always biting. This last Christmas and December saw some incredible action. We had rod bendings with sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi and, much other pelagic fish. This was done mostly in the warmer waters hanging around longer than normal. The water temperatures are still in the high 70’s. Good news for all anglers venturing out for a fun day here in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta has been on fire to put it lightly. This coming January we are expecting much of the same weather 70 degrees to so and
