Don’t Pay Too Much! Get the Best Price for Puerto Vallarta Fishing
Stop wasting time searching other sites—you’ve found the source!
We are here to give you the straight talk on booking your fishing trip. I’ve been offering my charter services here for over 38 years and I own and operate my fleet. That means our prices are from the owners and absolutely cannot be beaten.
Don’t be fooled by other websites that claim to have the best price. Many of the “Puerto Vallarta fishing” sites you see online aren’t even based in the city, and they mark up their prices significantly.
Avoid the Biggest Booking Mistakes
Booking a charter shouldn’t be complicated. Here are the common mistakes travelers make and how you can avoid them:
1. Choosing the Wrong Crew: The ocean is no place to be uncomfortable. The biggest mistake you can make is picking the wrong boat and being out on the water with a crew you don’t like or can’t communicate with. Many online listings feature boats that aren’t even here or don’t list a real boat name.
- Our Solution: Call us and ask questions! I’m here to personally answer all your concerns before the charter even begins. You’ll be talking directly to the captain, not an anonymous booking agent.
2. Booking Through Your Hotel: The second biggest mistake is thinking you’ll get a good deal at the hotel concierge desk. WRONG! Some hotels charge up to 50% commission to send clients to their preferred boats. We don’t work with those hotels, so you save that huge markup by coming straight to us.
3. Buying from Beach Vendors: The third biggest mistake is buying a trip from random beach vendors. These guys push the charter boats that pay the highest commission, not the best boats. While I have a few good friends among the beach vendors, the best way to book is directly.
- Our Solution: Before you book anywhere, try to talk to an owner or Captain (like me!). If we can help you out, please feel free to call us with any questions.
4. Chartering a Slow Boat: The fourth biggest mistake is getting stuck on a slow boat that won’t get you outside the bay where the big fish are most of the time. You need a reliable, fast vessel to maximize your fishing time.

CANCELLATION POLICY for Puerto Vallarta fishing
All cancellations must be made in writing, either by e-mail or by text. Cancellations by phone alone will not be honored. Cancellations must be in writing in order to clear up any miscommunications or misunderstandings. This policy is to avoid double-booking errors or date/time change errors. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before your charter date or no-show on the day of your charter, you will be charged 100% of the charter rate. Please be courteous and give us enough time to re-book the date, and we will work with you.
RAIN OR SHINE in the Summer months
Our charters are considered “rain or Shine” fishing charters. We do not cancel because of the threat of rain or actual rain showers on the day of your charter. Here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, rain at some level is forecasted nearly every day. Luckily, most of the time rain showers are typically brief and fast-moving. The old saying down here in Puerto Vallarta is… “If you don’t like the weather, just wait ten minutes”. When do we cancel because of the weather, this is only in the summer months. The winter months are perfect and 0 % chance of rain. It’s why everyone comes here in the winter

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
If the weather on the day of your charter is too dangerous to go out to sea (Large Craft Warning, Named Storm, Gale Warnings, etc) and the Captain or office cancels the trip, there will be no charge. This rarely ever happens. We have over 38 years here without any accidents on or off the water.
ALTERNATE PLANS
The captain may also provide inland fishing or cruising as an alternative to “extremely rough conditions for offshore fishing” if a severe weather bulletin is in effect. We may also try to reschedule your charter if we see weather problems approaching or if conditions are deemed “too dangerous to go offshore fishing.”
THE FISH YOU CATCH
Trophy fish are only landed on the boat and can be released or kept for taxidermy purposes. All fish landed to be consumed or for bait must be legal to keep (not protected, in-season, inside the bag limit, and of proper length). If the fish are legal to keep, our customers
The purpose of this agreement is to keep the very few people who come here from staying out late drinking, forgetting their charter date, or any other silly reason. You have to remember that in the morning, we are prepping the boat, buying live bait, rigging lines, buying ice, and getting drinks ready for your day on the water with us. I’ll be there, the Captain and first mate. It’s a lot of work and just kills us when someone does not show up. IT’S NOT LIKE WE CAN FIND ANOTHER CLIENT IN 10 MIN. So please be respectful and show up on time
Remember, our guys fish hundreds of charters a year and are always doing their best to keep all of our customers safe while creating the best fishing experience that they can.
