April 2020 fishing report. A lot has changed and the last fishing report. March and started off with a great month catching all kinds of pelagic fish. We were on track to have one of the best months in Puerto Vallarta Sportfishing and then the coronavirus decided to upset the world. The sad reality is this virus has put a hold on just about everything we enjoy doing in this world including fishing.
With the entire Fishing World turned upside down everything still remains calm here and beautiful in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We still have not had any reported cases of the virus on the Bay of flags also known as Bahia de Banderas. We are closely monitoring the situation here in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas for all of our friends, family, and clients that are anxiously awaiting to come down and fish with us.
Puerto Vallarta fishing charters in July 2019. Before I get started with the July fishing report here in Puerto Vallarta I want to address the question of the weather. I get hundreds and hundreds of calls each month asking about what the weather is going to be in the summer months here in Puerto Vallarta. We are in rainy season during June to October so yes it’s going to rain. Here in the tropics we normally experience rains late afternoon or early evening and during the days the skies are sunny for fishing. Along with getting the boats ready for our charters in the morning we are also constantly watching the weather conditions in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We’ve been in business here for over 35 years and have never had an accident or any weather related problems. We appreciate everyone calling and your calls are welcomed. I just want you know we’ll be keeping an eye on the weather for you for the summer months for any boating activities you might be doing here while on vacation in one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
Puerto Vallarta fishing charter report for May action. The deep sea fishing and weather are getting hotter. There are some great events that we always have here in May. The Mexican Mother’s Day, one of our San Blas international fishing tournaments and unbelievable fishing. This is brought on by warm gentle water moving in an onslaught baitfish in the Puerto Vallarta area.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report March Spring Break 2019 is here and the fishing is heating up as a lot of fishermen come here on vacation to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I want to say a special thanks all the people that went out with us for the month of February fishing here in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We had several groups fishing from Canada. The other large portion of our folks were coming from the fishing United States. Without these fantistic clients we couldn’t have had the spectular month that we did last year for all of our boats. We had a great month fishing with some nice sailfish, mahi – mahi, huge yellowtails and some striped Marlin/ sailfish.
Puerto Vallarta fishing Charters June is here and the fishing could not be better. The deep sea fishing is continuing to increase in fish numbers and size. The marlin, sailfish, dorados and tuna are still following the bait into the beautiful Puerto Vallarta bay and the offshore areas we enjoying fishing here in Mexico. The light evening rains will be starting around the middle of the month and this means the bay fishing in Puerto Vallarta and the offshore fishing will be fantastic. The water temp is still over 80 degrees and will be all summer long. What does this mean to the average fisherman coming to Puerto vallarta or family ? It means you will have a incredible chance to catch that throphy fish or those tuna and mahi mahi you are looking to cook at one of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta or take home with on the plane back to the United States or Canada.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report may 2018 marlin. The water is continuing to heat up along with the marlin fishing. This incredible month of may fishing in Puerto Vallarta has seen some marlin, tuna, mahi-mahi and yellowtail. This trend should hold for the next couple of months. June is right around the corner. The June fishing is always good as around the middle of the month the light rains start in the evenings. This brings all kind of pelagic fish into the bay following the bait food chain.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report in May 2018 will see some of the best fishing of the year. This last week we have seem improvements in the bait showing up and the number of fish we have been catching. The fantastic news is the blue water is close by and the incredible amount of bait that is showing up in the Puerto Vallarta bay fishing will keep the fishing hot for quite a while.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report April 2018 starts off with some incredible news. All fishing grounds are closed until farther notice. April’s fools just kidding the fishing is great and the marlin action is off the charts. The offshore fishing action could not be better. We fished on the north side of Puerto Vallarta including the Punta Mita fishing grounds and we were seeing sailfish and marlin in all the right spots. These pelagic fish were biting on black bart lures trolled around 7 to 8 knots. The very best bite was on live pitch baits. We are sight vesting these giant fish while trolling out best lure along with some hot teasers. If we can’t raise them with the teasers we are throwing the pitch baits when we see them finning. I cast over a hundred times yesterday so be sure and bring your power bars or what ever you use for that extra energy.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report March. This means spring is just around the corner. The water temp is heating up and so will the fishing here in Puerto Vallarta. IN the last week it was up almost 6 deg, this means the sardines will be showing up in huge schools. The water temperature is holding around 78 deg. The sailfish, marlin, and mahi-mahi follow them each year. This means we will be loading up on big fish. Last week the sailfish action and marlin action was off the charts. Most of the amazing fish are being caught on the troll. One of the best areas the fish have been biting is just north of Puerto Vallarta around Punta Mita. The pitch baits are working well and these pelagic fish come to the surface to feed during the right times of the day between the big tide changes. These are the very best time to be on the water fishing. Check tides before leaving or call me for the best times here in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Remember some of the best water temps for sailfish and marlin is in the high 70’s. Check with us and I will look at the charts of the surface temp and let everyone know where the fish will be biting.
