Puerto Vallarta fishing report august 2017 has been holding strong. The short trip in the bay are producing yellowtail, snapper, bonitas, Spanish mackerel, and a few mahi mahi. The offshore is picking up with marlin, sailfish and mahi mahi. This week the best bet will be over on the south side of the bay. The blue water is moving in and the water temp. is around 80 deg as of this morning. For marlin and sailfish the best charters are 8 to 10 hrs. out by Corbetena. The sailfish, marlin and mahi mahi have been great. The bay fishing has been good as the yellowfin tuna are showing up on south side of the bay.
